With the transfer window well underway, Manchester United have made a number of signings, with Rasmus Hojlund signed to add to Erik ten Hag’s options up front.
Mason Mount has also arrived from Chelsea, while Andre Onana from Inter has taken over from David de Gea in goal.
With a takeover at Old Trafford still yet to be completed, there is still a degree of uncertainty over how much money Ten Hag has at his disposal, with the Glazer family still in control of the club.
Manchester United finished in the top four and reached two cup finals last season, a big improvement on their competitiveness in previous campaigns - but more may still be required to challenge at the very top.
Here’s the latest news and updates concerning any transfers to and from Old Trafford:
Sofyan Amrabat
After his stellar performance at the World Cup in December last year, Sofyan Amrabat attracted interest from a host of top European clubs. This summer could now be the time that the Fiorentina midfielder makes his move with Manchester United one of the clubs keen to negotiate a deal for the Moroccan international.
Liverpool are also interested in Amrabat, who was left out of Fiorentina’s squad for the Europa Conference League play-off first leg against Rapid Vienna.
Jean-Clair Todibo
With Erik ten Hag still on the hunt for defensive reinforcements, Nice centre-half Jean-Clair Todibo has emerged as a target, with French sports newspaper L’Equipe reporting that Todibo may be moving closer to a move.
Jonny Evans
Alternatively, The Telegraph believe that Manchester United may be willing to offer Jonny Evans a short-term return to the club. The out-of-contract defender has been training with Ten Hag’s squad after leaving Leicester, and the 35-year-old would offer an experienced, Premier League proven option to add depth in central defence. That may yet open the door for Harry Maguire to depart after a move to West Ham fell through earlier in the summer.
Mason Greenwood
After Manchester United confirmed that Mason Greenwood will leave the club, the forward’s next destination is a topic of speculation. Talksport report that an unnamed Albanian club have registered an interest in signing Greenwood. Saudi clubs have also been connected with a move for Greenwood.
Dean Henderson
Despite the departure of David de Gea, it would appear that Dean Henderson’s time at the Manchester club may be coming to an end after the arrival of Andre Onana earlier in the window. The goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and may yet depart again, with Sheffield United and Crystal Palace both linked.
Altay Bayindir
And another new goalkeeper may already be on their way in, with Altay Bayindir pictured at an Istanbul Airport preparing to fly to England and complete his move to Old Trafford. The Fenerbahçe stopper will join for a fee in the region of £5m.
