Students at the codeavour international event in Indonesia.

Students of Himachal’s government schools have brought laurels to the state and the country by showcasing their talent at the codeavour competition, an international AI, coding and robotics competition for students, held in Jakarta. Rishabh Thakur and Shivank Kashyap from the Government Senior Secondary School, Mandi, won the first place in the “Innovator Award for Out of the Box Idea” category for their innovative project “Smart Dam Monitoring and Alerting System”. This competition was held at BINUS University in Jakarta.

The students gave an impressive presentation of their innovative project, prepared under the Samagra Shiksha’s ‘Inspiring Creative Minds (STEM)’ project on the international platform. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Education Minister Rohit Thakur and Samagra Shiksha Director Rajesh Sharma congratulated the students, parents and teachers on the achievement.

A total of 266 teams from 22 countries participated in the event. The competition was organised in three tracks: Track 1, Track 2, 39, and Track 3. Team ‘Himtech’ achieved this remarkable feat, representing Himachal Pradesh and India in the senior category of Track 1.
