LAHAD DATU: LAHAD DATU: Police are on the hunt for a man following an armed robbery at a grocery store in Simpang Payang, Batu 7, here on Saturday.
District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail in a statement on Monday said the suspect managed to escape with about RM1,220, taken from the cashier's drawer, in the 4.35pm incident.
Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});"Investigations found that during the incident, the cashier was counting the amount of goods bought by the suspect, when the suspect who wore a helmet placed a knife against the victim’s neck.
"The suspect later opened the drawer and took away the cash before fled the scene using an EX5 Honda motorcycle in black and red cover set,” he said.
