THE premier global event for maritime crewing, training, and seafarer welfare will return to the capital this October to address the rapidly evolving challenges facing the international shipping workforce.
Seatrade Maritime Crew Connect Global 2026 is scheduled for Oct. 20-22 at the Shangri-La The Fort in Manila.
The three-day conference and exhibition is expected to draw more than 700 maritime professionals, including shipowners, crewing managers, regulators, technology innovators, and training providers. This year’s program will focus heavily on digital transformation, regulatory compliance, crew welfare, and sustainable workforce development.
“Crew Connect Global is more than a conference — it is a catalyst for change in the maritime workforce,” said Jo Crisan, senior conference producer for Seatrade Maritime. “By bringing together the brightest minds and most influential leaders, we aim to shape a future where seafarers are empowered, valued, and equipped for the challenges ahead.”
In addition to panel discussions and presentations, the event will feature an exhibition floor showcasing new crewing technologies, training simulators, and safety solutions.
A central highlight of the gathering is the annual Crew Connect Global Awards, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 21. The awards recognize individuals and organizations across several categories, including safety at sea, green transition initiatives, and health and well-being.
Most categories will be evaluated by an independent panel of industry leaders. However, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be selected by the Seatrade Maritime News editorial board, and the Industry Champion Award will be decided by an audience vote during the ceremony.
Organizers noted that early-bird registration rates for the conference are available through July 17. Nominations for the awards program are free of charge and will be accepted through July 24.
