MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Metro Manila and the province of Rizal will have water service interruptions this week due to maintenance works, concessionaires Manila Water and Maynilad said.
In Quezon City, Barangay (village) Bagong Lipunan and Brgy. Mariana will have no service from January 14 to 15 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of step testing activities to detect possible system leaks. Also, some areas in Brgy. Matandang Balara will have water interruptions from January 15 to 16 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of line meter replacements.
Some areas in Brgy. Quirino 3-B, Brgy. East Kamias, and Brgy. West Kamias, Quezon City, will have no water from January 15 to 16 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to step testing activities.
In Rizal, Manila Water said that some locations in Brgy. Silangan, San Mateo will have no water from January 13 to 14 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to the looping of a mainline to improve water quality.
Service will also be interrupted in some areas in Brgy. Banaba from January 15 to 16, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., due to the installation of a pressure-reducing valve.
Also affected are portions of Brgy. Bagong Nayon in Antipolo from January 13 to 14, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of drilling activities.
Maynilad said some areas in Barangay 141 and 151 in Caloocan City will have no water from January 15 to 16 between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to network diagnostics for possible leaks.
In Manila, parts of Barangay 654, 655, 656, 657, 658, 659, and 666 will have water service interruptions from January 12 to 13 between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to network maintenance.
In Navotas, some areas in Brgy. San Rafael will have no water on January 15-16 between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to network diagnostics for possible system leaks.
In Quezon City, some portions of Brgy. San Antonio will have water interruption from Jan. 12 to 13 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. as well as some areas in Brgy. Baesa and Balong Bato from Jan. 14 to 15, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., due to network diagnostics for leak detection.
Service will also be interrupted in some places in Brgy. Apolonio Samson and Sto. Domingo from Jan. 16 to 17 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., for leak detection.
