MARA Chairman Vows Action After MRSM Student Allegedly Bullied & Ostracised by Entire Batch

The post MARA Chairman Vows Action After MRSM Student Allegedly Bullied & Ostracised by Entire Batch appeared first on WORLD OF BUZZ.

A recent Threads post has caught the attention of many Malaysians after an individual called out Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and the management of Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) over an alleged bullying incident.

According to the post, a student at an undisclosed MRSM school was allegedly subjected to bullying, ostracised by fellow students, and labelled a “batch destroyer.”

MRSM student reportedly becomes bully victim

As a result, the student was allegedly isolated by almost an entire batch and accused of things they never did.

“The student was forced to bear immense emotional pressure alone, crying almost every day, struggling with depression, and seeing their studies suffer, yet some still dismiss it as nothing more than ‘kids having a disagreement’,” the post read.

The poster also called for action, arguing that relevant authorities should not wait until the victim’s condition worsens before taking the matter seriously.

“It is heartbreaking that emotional bullying is still treated as something minor as long as there are no visible physical injuries. School should be the safest place for students, not a place where a student walks into class every day feeling afraid because they have been ostracised and hated by an entire batch,” they added.

MARA chairman responds

The post has since caught the attention of MARA Chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who reached out in the comments to request more details about the student involved.

He also took the opportunity to remind the public about the seriousness of mental and emotional bullying, stressing that it can be even more damaging than physical bullying.

In a separate post on his Threads page, Asyraf said MARA would work with psychologists from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to develop a module aimed at addressing such issues in MRSM institutions.

“Mental bullying is more severe than physical bullying. We will also make use of former military personnel who will serve as full-time wardens,” he wrote.
