Marcelino is on the brink of being named new coach of Olympique Marseille.
The former Valencia and Athletic Bilbao coach has agreed a two-year deal with OM president Pablo Longoria.
Marcelino will succeed Igor Tudor, who stepped down at the end of last season.
Longoria also considered departing PSG coach Christophe Galtier before choosing Marcelino.
The Spaniard could put pen to paper on a Marseille contract as early as today.
