MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday assured Filipinos that the country has enough oil supplies amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
In a press conference at Malacañang, Marcos said the Philippines has enough stocks of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and kerosene to last over a month.
He said the government would also provide targeted fuel subsidies to affected sectors, such as agriculture and transport, if oil prices reach $80 per barrel.
"We have sufficient supply of oil. We have a stockpile of 50-60 days in terms of gasoline, fuel oil, kerosene," Marcos said.
