Marcos commemorates India’s Modi for 25 years in public service

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. congratulated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for celebrating his 25 years in public service.

In a statement on Wednesday, Marcos commended Modi's journey in governance and how he contributed to India’s economic and technological growth.

"From Gujarat to leading the world’s largest democracy, Prime Minister Modi’s journey has been marked by a strong emphasis on good governance, innovation, technology, infrastructure and development, contributing to India’s transformation and its growing role on the global stage," Marcos said.

"I wish Prime Minister Modi continued success in his service to the people of India," he added.

Back in September, Marcos visited India for the BRICS Summit, where he held a bilateral meeting with Modi and talked about the Philippines-India Strategic Partnership and the Five-Year Plan of Action for 2025–2029.
