
MANILA, Philippines -- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared additional local holidays for June to commemorate founding anniversaries and festivals in different parts of the country, Malacañang announced on Saturday.
Under Proclamation 1293, June 15 has been declared a special non-working day in Pampanga in observance of the 35th Anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
The President also signed Proclamation 1294, declaring June 15 a special non-working day in Buguey, Cagayan for the celebration of its 430th founding anniversary.
Proclamations 1295, 1296, 1297, 1298, 1299, 1300, 1301 declared June 16 a special nonworking day in Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur; Pamplona, Negros Oriental; Pili, Camarines Sur, La Trinidad, Benguet; Ilagan City; Molave, Zamboanga del Sur; and San Miguel, Surigao del Sur.
The people of Dumalinao will commemorate the town’s 70th founding anniversary, while residents of Pamplona and Pili will mark their 76th and 71st founding anniversaries, respectively.
Residents of Ilagan City will celebrate its charter anniversary, while La Trinidad, Molave and San Miguel will mark their founding anniversaries.
June 17 is also a special nonworking day in Bindoy, Negros Oriental to mark the celebration of its charter anniversary through Proclamation 1302.
Under Proclamation 1303, June 18 was also declared a special non-working day in Barlig, Mountain Province for the celebration of its 60th founding anniversary.
Marcos also declared June 20 as a special non-working day in Lipa, Batangas and Guinayangan, Quezon for the their founding anniversaries, under Proclamations 1304 and 1305.
June 22 is also a special non-working day in Socorro, Oriental Mindoro, according to Proclamation 1306, for the municipality's founding anniversary, while June 23 was declared a special non-working day in Batac, Ilocos Norte for its 19th charter anniversary, under Proclamation 1307.
The President also signed Proclamations 1308 and 1309, declaring June 24 as a special non-working day in Masbate and Caba, La Union, for the celebration of Bagat-Dagat Festival and the town's founding anniversary, respectively.
Meanwhile, Proclamations 1310 and 1311 declared June 25 a special non-working day in Calanasan, Apayao and Sabangan, Mountain Province for the commemoration of their founding anniversaries.
