MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his sympathies to Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, following the passing of his brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In a statement on Wednesday, Marcos said the Filipino people join the people of the Emirate of Dubai and the Al Maktoum family in mourning their loss.
“I extend my deepest and sincerest sympathies to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on the passing of his beloved brother, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,” he said.
“The Filipino people, the government, and my family join the people of the Emirate of Dubai and the Al Maktoum family in mourning,” he added.
He likewise offered prayers to the bereaved family.
