MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. extended his birthday greetings to US President Donald Trump, wishing him good health, happiness, and continued success.
Marcos likewise reaffirmed the enduring friendship between the Philippines and the United States.
“Your leadership continues to shape the direction of the United States at a consequential moment in its history, while influencing developments and discussions on many of the most pressing issues facing the international community today,” he said in his message posted on social media.
“I trust you enjoyed your birthday celebration and the company of family and friends. May the enduring friendship between the Philippines and the United States continue to grow stronger in the years ahead,” he added.
Trump turned 80 years old.
