MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed finance and investment veteran Victor Alfonso A. Limlingan as the new president and chief executive officer of the Social Security System (SSS), the state pension fund announced Friday.
Limlingan succeeds Robert Joseph Montes de Claro, who was appointed secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
As incoming SSS chief, Limlingan is expected to prioritize expanding member loan programs, improving risk-adjusted returns on the pension fund’s investment portfolio and relaunching the Pension Booster Program, according to the agency.
