MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday ordered the Department of Transportation to suspend the implementation of the new round of fare hikes amid the skyrocketing prices of fuel and commodities caused by the war in the Middle East.
Marcos issued the directive to ease the burden of commuters and also gave reassurance that the government would continue to provide assistance to all those affected. (PCO)
