MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged all government agencies to support the initiative as the nation commemorates the Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week on Nov. 19 to 25, 2026.
Marcos—through Executive Secretary Ralph Recto—signed Memorandum Circular 140, which orders government bodies, government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), and state universities and colleges (SUCs) to participate in the commemoration led by the Climate Change Commission (CCC).
“The 2026 Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week will be celebrated nationwide from 19 to 25 November 2026, to be led by the Climate Change Commission (CCC) under the theme, "Komunidad, Kooperasyon at Koordinasyon para sa Klima," and its successful celebration will require the active participation of all concerned government agencies and instrumentalities, as well as the support of local government units (LGUs), educational institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector,” the memorandum reads.
