MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said, for his upcoming State of the Nation Address (SONA), the content will comprise a report on the government's efforts to tackle the challenges of the past year.
In an ambush interview on Friday, Marcos said that the SONA would reflect the administration's measures to steer the country through what he described as "a very difficult period in our history," marked by external and domestic pressures.
“I will always regard the SONA as a report, a report of the President to the public as to what has happened since the last SONA,” he stated.
“I will make sure that people know all of the things that we have done to navigate this very difficult period in our history, where we are buffeted by all of these external forces,” he added.
