CHUKAI, June 14 — The Marine Police Region Three seized 5,150 litres of diesel in a raid at a premises in Hulu Jabor near here yesterday.

Marine Police Region Three commander ACP Mohd Khairuddin Jamal said the seizure was carried out after the premises were suspected of illegally storing and handling diesel during a raid at 11 am.

He said during the raid, they found a skid tank, an intermediate bulk container (IBC) and a set of nozzle pump.

“The total value of the seizure in the operation is estimated at RM51,580.50,” he said in a statement today.

Mohd Khairuddin said his team also arrested a 55-year-old man to assist in the investigation.

He said that during the raid, the man failed to produce valid documents or permits for the storage and handling of the goods.

Mohd Khairuddin said the case was being investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961.

Meanwhile, he said the seized goods and arrest were handed over to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living for further action. — Bernama
