
SEMPORNA: Marine Police intercepted two speed boats attempting to smuggle controlled items through the waters off Pulau Boheian early Tuesday.
Sabah Region Four Marine Police Commander ACP Mohd Nazri Ibrahim said the vessels were spotted during a patrol at around 1.10am in a known hotspot.
The operation led to the seizure of 680kg of packet cooking oil and 2,005 litres of petrol, along with the arrest of four foreign nationals aged between 16 and 38.

Mohd Nazri said regular patrols are carried out to deter smuggling and other unlawful activities at sea, reaffirming the Marine Police’s commitment to protecting national interests.
