Mark Dempsey has been named new coach of Manchester United U23s.
Dempsey succeeds Neil Wood after he left to become manager of League Two Salford City.
He will remain as senior academy coach but that role will now involve taking charge of the Under-23s side on a matchday, with support from Paul McShane.
Dempsey, like McShane, came through the youth system at the club and is a former United midfielder. He has been a first team manager in Scandinavia.
Travis Binnion is staying as Under-18s lead coach, but he has been promoted to head of player development and coaching at the academy after the departure of Justin Cochrane.
