MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Mark Villar moved to the Senate majority and was elected Thursday as a member of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA), replacing Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.
During a plenary session, Zubiri also announced that Villar was also elected chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Works.
“Yes, we just elected him to the CA and Public Works Committee as part of the majority,” Zubiri said.
