Marks & Spencer to reopen Philippine stores under MAP

MANILA, Philippines — British retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has signed a new franchise agreement for its Philippine business with Indonesia-based PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP), paving the way for the reopening of its stores and online channels later this year.

Under the partnership, M&S will offer its fashion, home, beauty and food products in the Philippines, with its first store scheduled to open at Glorietta in Makati.

"We are delighted to expand our partnership with MAP into the Philippines," said Mark Lemming, managing director of M&S International.

The agreement expands MAP's long-standing relationship with M&S, which already covers Indonesia and Vietnam.
