Jesse Marsch insists Leeds United must not forget they have to "fight for everything" this season.
The Whites were beaten 1-0 by Brighton over the weekend.
"We as a team and as a club are still at a stage where we're going to have to fight for everything," Marsch told BBC's Match of the Day.
"We're going to try and build and continue to be clear with exactly what we want to play like and how we want to perform every match but we're going to have hiccups in there and to be fair, Brighton is a tough team.
"They make it difficult for their opponents. So, in the end, not enough from us and a good three points for Brighton."
