Martin Lewis has urged those who think they may be owed car finance compensation to complain now, as they will get a quicker payout.

"The big thing to understand about mass redress - firms must try to seek out everyone who was mis-sold, even if they haven't complained. Yet - complaining now, if you haven't already done it... will mean you get paid out quicker," the Money Saving Expert founder explained on his ITV show on Tuesday (28 April).

Payouts are due on about 12.1 million mis-sold motor finance deals from an array of lenders at an average of £829 each, the Financial Conduct Authority has said.
