- The Money Saving Expert advises those without a Lifetime ISA (LISA) to open one immediately, even with a nominal amount.
- This recommendation is due to the LISA being replaced by the new First Time Buyer (FTB) ISA in April 2028.
- Having an existing LISA will allow users to continue utilising it and potentially combine bonuses with the new FTB ISA.
- The forthcoming FTB ISA will provide a 25 per cent government bonus on savings up to £4,000, applicable for either property purchase or retirement.
