Gabriel Martinelli has declared he wants to signa a new deal with Arsenal.

Martinelli produced another extraordinary performance, scoring one goal and creating another, as Arsenal headed back to the top of table after a thrilling 3-2 win against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Brazilian, 21, has started all of Arsenal's games this season and the club are working to tie him down to a new deal.

Martinelli's current contract runs out in less than two years, though the club do have the option to extend it by a further couple of years.

"Of course, I want to stay. We are talking. Let's see what is going to happen. But I want to stay, of course," Martinelli said.

"I think it's my best season here at Arsenal. I'm so happy for this moment."

The 21-year-old has been a pivotal part of Arsenal's brilliant start, which has seen them win eight of their first nine league games.

Manager Mikel Arteta has refused to discuss a possible title charge but Martinelli said: "Of course we dream about it."

The winger did, though, insist: "We leave that (talking about it) to the fans. We only think about the next game and trying to win."
