Marvel Studios has launched the “Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast,” a video podcast that revisits films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Infinity Saga ahead of the December 16 theatrical release of “Avengers: Doomsday.”
The first four episodes are now available on Disney+ Philippines, with the podcast also streaming on YouTube and audio platforms.
Hosted by Iman Vellani, star of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel,” and podcast host Frank Alvarez of “The Basement Yard,” the series follows the pair as they rewatch and discuss five films from the Infinity Saga: “The Avengers,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
The first four episodes cover “The Avengers,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” The episode on “Avengers: Endgame” will be released on Sept. 24.
In each episode, Vellani and Alvarez recap the featured film and discuss specific scenes and developments in the Avengers’ story. They also speculate on the themes, characters and stories that could shape the reunion in “Avengers: Doomsday.”
The five films are available to stream on Disney+ as part of the “Marvel Studios’ The Infinity Saga” Collection. The fifth podcast episode will coincide with the week of the theatrical re-release of “Avengers: Endgame: Encore.”
