A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu faced severe turbulence before landing, causing some passengers, including one TikTok user, to hit their head.
The captain’s immediate and sincere apology to passengers earned widespread praise for his professionalism.
Encounter strong turbulence before landing
On January 9, a TikTok user known as “hkydnd” shared a post recounting the incident.
According to the passenger, the plane encountered strong turbulence just before landing, resulting in a bumpy descent. The impact caused some passengers to hit their heads due to the sudden jolt.
After landing, the captain addressed the incident through the in-flight announcement system.
The earlier landing was affected by sudden weather changes. Unfortunately, our trainee pilot was handling the descent and was unable to respond to the unexpected conditions effectively. However, I assure all passengers that this will not happen again.” He explained.
