A MALAYSIA Airlines stewardess was found dead in her room yesterday while on a layover in Tokyo.
In a statement, the airline confirmed the death of Norzana Hanim Hamzah.
The deceased had just completed a flight to Narita International Airport and was to return to Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Her family has since been notified and the airlines said it will provide them with all the necessary assistance.
“We will provide them all the assistance they need in this difficult time.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Norzana,” the statement read.
A Facebook page dedicated to cabin crew worldwide said, according to sources, that Norzana had died before pick-up for her return to Malaysia.
The post said the cause of death has yet to be confirmed, but unconfirmed reports from the MH crew community suggest she possibly suffered a fall while getting ready for her return flight. – May 21, 2024
