The new and improved Maserati Grecale facelift arrives 4 years after the nameplate debuted.
Maserati has officially unveiled a highly sophisticated technical and aesthetic evolutionary update for its luxury D-SUV, the Maserati Grecale. Originally launched in April 2022 and maintaining a core market presence since 2023, the premium model is designed to seamlessly blend everyday usability—such as commuting and school runs—with the high-performance grand touring DNA that defines the House of the Trident.

The revised generation builds upon the vehicle’s segment-leading interior spaciousness and comfort metrics. It continues to accommodate occupants up to the 99th percentile across both front and rear seating tracks, supported by a generous 2,901 mm wheelbase, a completely flat rear loading floor, and push-button automated folding rear seats accessible directly from the trunk compartment.
Extensive Exterior Redesigns and Aerodynamic Tuning
The exterior styling of the new Grecale introduces a vertical orientation inspired by the brand’s newer design languages. The front fascia receives redesigned front bumpers and grilles across both internal combustion engine (ICE) and full-electric (BEV) variations.
- The Shark-Nose Fascia: The front bumper adapts an even more prominent “shark-nose” profile that pays direct homage to historical Maserati single-seat racing cars. This architecture integrates an advanced air curtain developed via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to cleanly route airflow around the front wheel arches, significantly dampening drag-inducing vortices.
- Active Folgore Aero Systems: On the all-electric Folgore model, an intelligent “Air Grille Shutter” (AGS) system features automated, adjustable fins. These fins open dynamically under heavy thermal loads to maximize cooling, or close during low-load driving to drop aerodynamic resistance, directly extending real-world driving autonomy.

A Highly Expanded Six-Variant Product Range
The powertrain lineup has been restructured into six distinct versions globally to cater to precise driver profiles and market demands:
- Grecale MHEV: Powered by a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre mild-hybrid engine pushing out either 250 CV or 300 CV depending on market configurations.
- Modena MHEV: A sportier mild-hybrid execution developing 330 CV (or 250 CV specifically restricted for the Italian market).
- Grecale V6 & Modena V6: Brand new entries to the global range, utilizing a high-performance 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine tuned to deliver 390 CV and 500 Nm of torque.
- Trofeo V6: The high-performance flagship model packing a 530 CV iteration of the Formula 1 pre-chamber-derived twin-turbo V6, dispatching the 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.8 seconds before hitting a 285 km/h top speed.
- Grecale Folgore: The brand’s first 100% battery-electric SUV, utilizing a 105-kWh battery pack and 400-volt technology to put out 410 kW (550 CV) and a massive 820 Nm of torque.

Next-Gen Driver Controls and Haptic Interaction
The cabin layout undergoes a premium digital and ergonomic evolution designed to deliver maximum luxury alongside minimal physical distraction.
- Racing-Inspired Steering Wheel: The steering wheel shape adopts a unique octagonal geometry featuring flat upper and lower sections, paired with a newly redesigned downward spoke. It is finished in perforated leather or standard high-performance Alcantara on the Trofeo.
- Three-Dimensional PRND Switchgear: The electronic gear selector (PRND) is entirely overhauled with capacitive haptic technology and solid, back-lit three-dimensional real metal buttons, enabling drivers to operate traction selections confidently by touch alone.
- Paddle-Shift Parking Assist: Drivers can now alternate seamlessly between Drive (D) and Reverse (R) during tight parking maneuvers by pulling the steering wheel paddles directly, eliminating the need to reach for the dashboard buttons below speeds of 13 km/h.
- Octagonal Digital Clock: The traditional dashboard clock transitions into an octagonal geometry wrapped in a real metal crown and a premium glass bezel. Beyond standard time keeping, it houses reconfigurable visuals (Classiche, Stile, and Trofeo layouts) and issues clear pop-up alerts whenever drive modes are switched.

Advanced Safety & Immersive Sonus faber Acoustics
Aboard the updated Grecale, safety parameters are fortified via the wholesale integration of the Vehicle General Safety Regulation (GSR) suite, split into two comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) hardware packs. This suite introduces a high-end, dashboard-integrated driver camera situated directly underneath the digital clock. Rather than relying on indirect timers, the camera directly analyzes driver eye state in real time, issuing acoustic and visual warnings on the primary instrument panel upon detecting fatigue or active device distractions.

To provide acoustic isolation, the vehicle adopts thick privacy windows that maintain maximum exterior noise absorption without muting the engine’s iconic exhaust note. Internal acoustics are elevated via custom-designed, premium audio systems developed alongside legendary Italian sound craftsmen Sonus faber. The high-tier upgrade maps out an incredibly immersive 3D surround sound experience using up to 21 individual speakers and a 1,285-watt multichannel amplifier layout, featuring open-air subwoofer integration paired cleanly to external chassis cavities to optimize space and acoustic depth.
