Tuaran: The State Government received a RM300 million loan late last year to address Sabah’s water supply issues, State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun confirmed.

Masidi, speaking at the launch of the Sentuhan Kasih Rakyat Sabah (Syukur) 2025 programme on Wednesday, acknowledged delays but said tender processes are now underway.

AdvertisementKota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis recently criticised the Federal Government for delaying RM320 million in water aid promised to Sabah nearly two years ago.

She revealed that the amount had been reduced to RM300 million, with RM200 million repurposed from the 12th Malaysia Plan, and questioned why the aid was turned into a loan.
