Kota Kinabalu: State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said while upgrading the Sabah and Sarawak Affairs Division (BHESS) to a full ministry is a good idea, the ultimate test will be how effective it will be.
“Yes, I think it is a good idea but eventually it is about its effectiveness. Will it be more effective once it is called a ministry in its own right, or will we still receive lip service?” he said.
Masidi said this when asked about Tuaran Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau’s suggestion that the BHESS be upgraded to a full ministry with its own chief secretary.
