Masidi urges public to report illegal diesel sales

Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun has urged Sabahans to report illegal diesel sales, saying leakages harm consumers as well as the government.

Speaking after a briefing on the implementation of the Budi Madani diesel subsidy reform at the Sabah International Convention Centre, he said the Federal Government had taken Sabah's unique circumstances into account in rolling out the scheme.

Masidi said no complaints had been received from industry players since the implementation of the subsidy reform.

He added that savings generated from reducing leakages would ultimately benefit consumers through lower fuel prices.
