Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno Elections Director Jeffrey Nor Mohamed said Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Vice President Datuk Masiung Banah should not use the party and Barisan Nasional’s defeat as reminder to GRS members.
He said Masiung needs to look at his (Masiung’s) political career.
He said Masiung was previously selected as a candidate for the Kuamut state seat representing Upko, one of the components in BN.
“Without BN, he would definitely not be known. We admit that BN/Umno has its weaknesses but GRS, including Masiung, does not need to act holy by relating politics to the history of the Islamic era Badar and Uhud wars,” he said.
