RANAU: Deputy Chief Minister II cum Kundasang Assemblyman, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, urged young people to learn and master a foreign language in addition to the national language and mother tongue.

He suggested that they learn and master either Japanese, German, Korean or Chinese, besides English.

He said these foreign languages would enable knowing more sophisticated technology.

“Many tourists are from technologically advanced countries... so, it’s not wrong for us to master their language,” he said at the Economic Improvement Programme and the Opening Ceremony of the Kampung Lobou Baru Youth Club (Kamloba).
