Leeds United's newest signing Max Wober admitted he has a family connection to the club.
Wober made his debut in the Premier League against Aston Villa off the bench this past weekend.
After signing from Red Bull Salzburg last week, the 24-year-old defender admitted his father was a long-time admirer of the Elland Road club.
Speaking to the Official Leeds United podcast, Wober stated: "Yeah, they loved it [Wober's family visiting Elland Road]. My father has always been a big football fan so it was nice for him because it's his first time going to Elland Road.
"He's a big, big English football fan so most of his wardrobe is full of England shirts, like really, really old football shirts. And he has one old Leeds shirt from the 70's or the 80's so he's been trying to find it for the trip."
Ex-Whites striker Jermaine Beckford responded, saying: "Do you know what I took from that? It sounds like Max's dad is a Leeds United fan."
Wober then laughed and said: "Definitely, definitely! After the first game, and experiencing the atmosphere, he's definitely a Leeds United fan. And of course he has no other choice!"
