Maxis Malaysia has officially announced a couple of new additions to its Family Plans that fulfill the needs of work, study, and entertainment at home and on the move.
One can find that the RM299 comes with 500Mbps home fibre alongside 3 unlimited 4G or 5G mobile lines, while the RM399 option steps things up with 1Gbps speeds and 4 unlimited mobile lines.
A free WiFi 6 router will be included for each subscription and will be installed for free, and you can find a limited-time sooka Premium subscription thrown in to start streaming live sports, TV shows, and movies without extra fuss.
The telecom is also providing some flexibility to work around edge cases, as home fibre speeds can be upgraded all the way up to 2Gbps, and households can add up to 6 additional mobile lines.
For example, if you pick the RM299 plan, upgrading to 1Gbps costs RM90 per month, while a jump to 2Gbps costs RM160 per month respectively.
Meanwhile, RM399 subscribers can move to 2Gbps for RM70 per month. Extra mobile lines are priced at RM48 per line, keeping connectivity consistent across the family.
For areas where fibre isn’t available yet, Maxis is also offering the Family Plan with 5G Home WiFi, which includes a free 5G router for a simple plug-and-play setup. Existing Maxis customers looking to switch can do so by visiting the nearest Maxis Centre or making a call to upgrade.
