DIGITAL bank Maya is offering a limited-time rebate program to help Filipino households relying on remittances from the Middle East.

“With many overseas Filipinos in the Middle East supporting their families back home, we aim to make it easier for households to access and make the most of these remittances by reducing everyday transaction costs,” said Maya Group President and Maya Bank cofounder Shailesh Baidwan on Tuesday.

The program, which began on March 23 and runs till April 10, provides transaction rebates to users who receive remittances through Maya from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Israel, Lebanon and Jordan.

Eligible users can receive P18 in rebates per ATM withdrawal and P15 per InstaPay transfer, with cashback credited directly to their Maya wallets on the same day of transactions.

Users may also earn between 1.0 and 3.0 percent cashback on mobile load purchases, depending on their level, from Maya XP, a feature that rewards customers for actively using digital financial services.

Users are eligible for the incentives after receiving a qualifying remittance into their Maya account. Invitations to activate Maya XP are typically sent within one to three days, after which users can opt in through the app’s wallet dashboard or profile page. Once activated, rebates are automatically applied to eligible transactions without the need for additional steps.

Maya XP, currently in early-access rollout, allows users to unlock increasing benefits as they engage more frequently with services such as payments, savings and transfers, aligning incentives with consistent account activity.

Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas showed that in 2025, OFWs in the Middle East collectively sent over $6.4 billion in remittances to the Philippines.
