Maybank is currently running its American Express (Amex) Credit Card – Register, Spend & Win campaign in conjunction with the upcoming Ramadhan month, where eligible Amex credit cardholders will stand a chance to win grand prizes of RM10,000 travel vouchers. Set to run for three months until 15 June 2023, this is in addition to monthly prizes of RM50 cashback.
To participate in this campaign, you must be an existing or new Maybank cardholder with any of the following cards:
- Maybank 2 Amex Platinum credit card
- Maybank 2 Amex Gold credit card
- Maybank Amex Gold Cash Back credit card
- Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Amex Platinum credit card-i
If you are, then you can go ahead and use your Amex cards to spend on qualifying expenses for the campaign. By becoming one of the top 300 highest spenders of each month, you’ll then be entitled to a cashback reward of RM50. Meanwhile, the top three highest spenders during the whole campaign period will win a travel voucher worth RM10,000 each.

Maybank also clarified that qualifying spend for this campaign includes the purchase of any retail goods or services (local and international). Meanwhile, transactions such as instalments paid under Maybank’s Flexi Payment Plan and Easy Payment Plan, as well as balance transfers are not eligible.
Note as well that all cardholders are only allowed to win one monthly prize and one grand prize. So let’s say you’ve won the monthly prize for Month 1, you will not be allowed to win another RM50 cashback reward for the subsequent months. However, your following monthly expenditures will still count towards your cumulative spend to win the RM10,000 travel voucher grand prize.
As for prize fulfilment, the grand and monthly prizes will be provided to the winners within 12 weeks from the end of the campaign period. Specifically, the RM50 cashback reward will be credited to your credit card account, while the RM10,000 travel voucher will be delivered to your home address; you’ll be notified of your win prior to that.
Maybank Amex cardholders who would like to participate in this campaign will need to perform an SMS registration by sending a message (AMEX<space>last six digit of NRIC or passport number) to 66628. Additionally, cardholders with more than one Amex card are only required to register once; all qualified spend from all cards will be automatically tracked and consolidated as one total spending.
