
Kota Kinabalu: Mayor Datuk Sabin Samitah visited the fire victims in Kampung Likas at the Temporary Transfer Centre (PPS) of the Likas Multipurpose Hall, Sunday.
Also present during the visit were City Hall Deputy Director General (Operations), Robert Lipon, as well as representatives from the Community Welfare Department (JKSM) and City Hall Enforcement Department.
The fire which occurred around 3am, Sunday, destroyed eight houses and affected 64 victims from 15 households.
The victims included 27 men, 12 women, six boys, 15 girls and four babies.

In the meantime, the General Welfare Services Department (JPKA) has provided personal necessities for the use of victims, including mattresses, pillows, blankets, shampoo, soap, buckets and toothbrushes, among other.
