Mazda CX-60 Launched In Malaysia, CBU From RM198,900

The Mazda CX-60 has officially arrived in Malaysia, the first of their new large SUVs.

Bermaz Motor has launched the all-new Mazda CX-60 SUV in Malaysia, a first-of-its-kind product for the company. This mid-sized SUV takes next generation Mazda design and engineering philosophies into a larger and more upmarket segment with a longitudinally-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive for the first time.

The Mazda CX-60 will be fully-imported from Japan and available in just one specification at launch – 2WD High.

Here are the dimensions of the CX-60 next to the CX-5 and CX-8 for comparison. As you’ll see, the CX-60 sits somewhere between the two in most metrics, but is a little wider than either.

Powering the Malaysian-spec Mazda CX-60 is the proven 2.5L naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine made under the Skyactiv-G umbrella. This engine delivers 189hp and 261Nm in this guise and sends that to the rear-wheels via a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

The latest Mazda Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture underpinning Skyactiv technology gives the possibility of FUTURE electrification should the need arise in the market but our model is not a hybrid. The powertrain is good for 7.3L/100km in terms of efficiency.

The CX-60 also brings with it Mazda’s Kinematic Posture Control (KPC), which optimises suspension performance, smoothening body movement and stabilizing it in the corners at high speeds.

Suspension components consist of Double Wishbones at the front and Multi-Links at the rear. 20″ alloy wheels in silver metallic finish are fitted as standard here with an 18″ steel wheel provided as a spare.
