SUBANG JAYA, March 7 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has allocated 60 trading lots for small traders without permits.
Located at the Puncak Jalil 3/10 hawker site, state executive councillor for trade, investment, and mobility Ng Sze Han said these traders can start operating next month.
“This initiative aims to provide traders with the opportunity to operate legally while also ensuring better safety for both traders and buyers compared to their previous trading locations, which were less strategic.
“I am confident that this site will help strengthen the local economy and create a more organised and sustainable business environment,” he said after officiating the site yesterday.
Meanwhile, Ng, who is also the Kinrara state assemblyman, said that MBSJ has set up a temporary bazaar at the hawker site in conjunction with Ramadan.
“A total of 120 stalls have been provided at this Ramadan bazaar site. Interestingly, today, MBSJ also distributed 100 RM10 vouchers to the earliest visitors who brought their own food containers.
“In addition, the Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI also distributed 400 Selangor Platform vouchers worth RM10 to visitors at the bazaar today,” he said.
