Leader of the House in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Standing Committee member Jai Bhagwan Yadav on Thursday inspected Shastri Nagar Ward and directed officials to repair roads, remove encroachments and improve sanitation facilities.
Accompanied by local councillor Manoj Kumar Jindal and senior civic officials, Yadav reviewed roads, drains, parks and public toilets in Ward No. 70. Yadav said the MCD was committed to a clean and green Delhi in line with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s vision. He said there was no shortage of funds for maintaining parks, roads and public toilets, and instructed officials to complete pending works at the earliest.
He ordered strict action against encroachments, especially outside shops, saying illegal occupation of roads and drains led to traffic congestion and waterlogging.
