ON April 28, 2021, an article on Cannabis Hemp was published on the Institute for Development Studies (Sabah) website in an attempt to gauge the public’s sentiment on this polarising plant.
Feedbacks showed that Malaysians have high hopes that the legalisation effort in Malaysia will eventually be materialised.
Fast forward to a year later, neighbouring country Thailand has outpaced Malaysia by fully legalising the cannabis plant on June 9, 2022.
