Previously, we reported that 4 male students who are set to sit for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams next month were remanded for 6 days after allegedly taking turns raping a 15-year-old female student in Melaka on 2 October.
The incident happened around 2.50 PM in a classroom at a school in Alor Gajah, and the act was recorded on a mobile phone by two of the suspects.

“There’s enough evidence to charge them”
The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) has reviewed the investigation papers submitted by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) regarding the case.
In a statement, the AGC said that after a thorough review, it found there was enough evidence to bring charges against the individuals involved.
As a result, the individuals will be charged under Sections 375B and 377B of the Penal Code [Act 574], as well as Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 [Act 792], at the Melaka Magistrate’s Court, which has the appropriate local jurisdiction.
“The Attorney General’s Chambers remains committed to ensuring that every criminal offence, especially those involving child victims and sexual crimes, is handled appropriately and firmly in accordance with the law,” the statement read.

She went to retrieve materials from the classroom
The horrifying incident came to light after the victim’s mother was informed by a teacher about the video’s circulation, prompting her to lodge a police report.
Shortly before the assault, the victim had gone back to her classroom on the third floor to retrieve her Science materials, which she had left behind. She initially turned back upon seeing both suspects at the door, but they blocked her way.
One of them then forced her into the classroom, stripped her, and raped her.
