Tenom: The Ministry of Domestic Trade (KPDN) will hold Rahmah Sales in collaboration with the Melalap Community Leaders Unit (UPPM) on Oct 19 at the Kampung Saga Tengah Town Hall.
Melalap Community Development Leader (PPM) Simon Mamat said the sales programme aims to give the community outside the city the opportunity to enjoy daily necessities at cheaper prices.
“Previously, most of these programmes were implemented in areas closer to towns, leaving villagers without the opportunity to buy cheaper goods.
“Because apart from the long distance, travelling also incurs costs,” he said after accompanying an official from the Keningau KPDN Branch to inspect the chosen venue.

Read more Simon said UPPM Melalap suggested the programme be moved to the Mukim (commune) area so that the surrounding communities, especially the B40, may benefit.
The programme will be held from 8am to 4pm.
Simon also invited relevant government agencies to help make the programme a success.
