First Lady Melania Trump has described herself as a "visionary" during a speech at a Women's History month event.

President Donald Trump and Melania hosted the event at the White House on Thursday (12 March), as Trump praised women's contributions throughout U.S. history.

When Melania took to the stage, she said, "As a visionary, I know success is not born overnight. Often alone at the top, I follow my passion and always maintain a laser focus."

The Trump administration has been criticized for rolling back women's rights, such as the heavily Trump-appointed Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs Wade in 2022 and targeting DEI programs throughout government, business and academia.
