MEMBAKUT: The process of upgrading this area into a full district will be completed by this year and see the merging of Kimanis, Bongawan and Membakut as one Membakut District.
Science, Technology and Innovation Minister cum Membakut Assemblyman Datuk Ariffin Arif said that the district demarcation process had been completed and is now in the gazetting stage.
“This process now in the gazetting stage and will be fully completed this year as announced by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor recently.
