Members of the UK’s biggest phone smuggling network were filmed sending packages of stolen mobiles to China as part of a £5m crime ring.
Amir Khadikhel, 35, Ismat Miakhel, 33, and Mansoor Mohammed, 30, jailed in September for a combined 25 years, are believed to have helped export 40,000 phones from the UK to China between 2024 and 2025, according to the CPS, who estimate the goods accounted for almost half the phones stolen in London during that period.
CCTV showed two men dropping off multiple large boxes of devices to be posted abroad during a months-long surveillance operation by Metropolitan Police.
Khadikhel, Miakhel and Mohammed were jailed for nine and half years, nine years, and six and a half years respectively at Southwark Crown Court.
