- Christopher Poulter and Kevin Biggs have had their 1976 theft convictions quashed by the Court of Appeal after nearly 50 years.
- The men were wrongfully convicted of stealing mailbags based on false evidence provided by disgraced officer Detective Sergeant Derek Ridgewell.
- Mr Poulter and Mr Biggs are the 14th and 15th people to have their convictions overturned in relation to Ridgewell's misconduct.
- Mr Biggs died in 2004 before his innocence was established, whilst Mr Poulter lived most of his life with a criminal record.
- Lawyers criticised British Transport Police for taking decades to address the corruption, as the CCRC invited further potential victims to apply for reviews.
