
RANAU: The Sabah Cancer Volunteer Association (PSKS) will organise a Psychosocial Support Assistance Programme for those affected by Covid-19 at the Kg Kilimu Ranau Multipurpose Hall starting at 8am on March 4-5.
Deputy President of PSKS, Nurfarhah Diana Abdullah, hoped for the cooperation of all JPKK Chairmen to spread the word on the programme.
According to Nurfarhah, the participants will do a “Mind Screening” (Dass 21) for the evaluation of counsellors on to the extent of the impact of Covid-19 on the public, especially in the district.
This will be conducted by PSKS officers to determine the eligibility of participants.
“We will screen those eligible through a mental screening examination based on the guidelines provided,” said Nurfarhah.

Names must be sent no later than a day before the programme.
Meanwhile, Ranau Town JKDB Chairman, Tan Eng Sing, urged the people in the area who felt they could benefit from this programme to quickly register.
“This is a good initiative by the government through NGO such as the PSKS in helping the people to cope with day-to-day challenges faced by the people.
“We should take this chance to participate and reap the benefits that are offered through this programme. Who knows, that through such a programme we could have a better outlook on life,” he said.
